Where He Comes From:
Geno spent the first 32 years of his life on Long Island before relocating to New York’s Southern Tier — a move that put him closer to Real Estate and launching his first business GC Property Works in early 2014, and eventually, closer to the industry he’d end up disrupting. That same pattern-recognition instinct Geno Costello brought to real estate is what he later applied to building SkyyTask.
Business is what makes him come alive. He is an entrepreneur to the core — wired for problem-solving, pattern recognition, and the kind of attention to detail that turns a rough idea into something that actually works. He has never been drawn to easy markets. He is drawn to fragmented ones.
An Extensive Real Estate Background:
Long before SkyyTask, Geno Costello built a career across nearly every corner of real estate: buying and investing in property, coaching other investors on how to do the same, developing new construction homes, designing and building out full subdivisions, and flipping luxury homes around the Southern Tier of NY. He also became a Licensed Real Estate Agent in April of 2019 and is still actively licensed today with Keller Williams. Along the way, he also helped first-time business owners develop, structure, and grow their own companies — because building something from nothing is a language he has always spoken fluently.
That range — investor, developer, builder, coach — gave him a rare vantage point: he doesn’t just understand real estate from one angle. He understands it from all of them.

What most people don’t expect is how deeply rooted in technology Geno Costello actually is. Three and a half years of his own capital, his own hours, and his own conviction that this industry deserved something better than what already existed.

Geno is no stranger to building businesses, building networks, and working with professionals around the world. He genuinely enjoys the life of cultivating real relationships with forward-thinkers — the kind of people who are building something, not just talking about it.
And he doesn’t enter an industry to compete in it. He enters to disrupt it — bringing new ideas, new standards, and a new way of doing things that the space didn’t have before. He aims to innovate, not follow the same path as others.
Where the Hunting Comes In:
Geno has been an avid hunter / outdoorsmen for over 30 years, and nearly 8 years into habitat and land management. That’s not disconnected from SkyyTask — it’s part of why services like drone-assisted game recovery exist on the platform at all. He believes hunters owe it to the animals they pursue to use every ethical means of recovery available. That belief made it into the product.
What He Stands For:
- Pilots and clients, equally. SkyyTask only works if both sides of the transaction are treated right. Pilots deserve fair pay and real respect for their work. Clients deserve a platform they can trust with their business, every single time. Geno doesn’t build for one side at the other’s expense — he cares about both, equally, and always will.
